I received my BA from Harvard University, and a JD from Boston College Law School.
Since 2006, I have been tutoring K-12 students on the SAT, focusing on grammar, math, reading, and writing and helping them navigate the high school path.
During high school, I served as student body president and was nationally ranked #6 in the U.S. in tennis.
Things did not come easy though.
Standardized tests were a barrier to entry.
In order to succeed, I sought good tutors to learn foundational skills (e.g., grammar) and test-taking strategies. I practiced until things became intuitive.
Now I want to practice these techniques with you.
At Harvard, I started a legal aid program to serve low-income clients in Boston's Chinatown, and eventually expanded our services into Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, French, and Russian. After Harvard, I lived in China for one year, conducting legal research as a Fulbright Scholar.
I am also a member of the California, New York, and Massachusetts bars.
For your college admissions essays, I help you explore your personal identity and express yourself persuasively in writing.
I love working with students of different learning styles and backgrounds, as it mirrors my own self-exploration and discovery.
For over 10 years, I have tutored straight A students, students with learning disabilities, and aspiring athletes.
I love what I do, and the greatest reward is seeing my students overcome their battles and reach their dreams.
